Do you know Christ as your personal Savior?

Have you ever received the Lord Jesus Christ into your life?

Do you realize that God loves you?

God loves you and has a plan for your life. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."  John 3:16

The Bible says that all are sinners:

Our sins have separated us from God. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."  Romans 3:23

God made man in His own image. He gave man the ability to choose right from wrong. We choose to sin. Our sins keep us from God.

God's Word also says that sin must be paid for:

"for the wages of sin is death..."  Romans 6:23

The payment (wages) of our sin is death and hell, separation from God forever. If we continue in our sin, we shall die without Christ and be without God forever.

The Good News is that Christ paid for our sins:

All of our sins were laid on Christ on the cross, and He arose from the dead. He is alive forevermore. "But God commented his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."  Romans 5:8

We must personally pray and receive Christ by faith:

The Bible says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."  Romans 10:13

Pray and receive Christ as your Savior:

Lord, I know that I am a sinner. If I died today, I would not go to heaven. Forgive my sin, come into my life and be my Savior. Help me live for you from this day forward. In Jesus' name, Amen.

What are the next steps after accepting Jesus Christ as my personal Savior?

Welcome to the Family of God. You may be wondering what to do now that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. You will find the answers written in the Holy Bible which is God's inspired message of love for us.

Step 1. You need to be baptized.  Baptism is a public commitment showing that we are burying our sinful life in surrender to Jesus and rising again to walk a new life with Jesus as our source of strength and ownership.  "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like (just) as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."  Romans 6:4.  When Jesus was instructing his disciples after he rose from the dead he said;  "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."  Matthew 28:19

Step 2. Join a Bible believing church.  We need the fellowship and prayers of other believers.  "Not forsaking (neglecting) the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting (encouraging) one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."  Hebrews 10:25

What should I look for in choosing a good church?

The Pastor will preach from the inspired Word of God, the Bible, and his life will show that he strives to practice a Christian life.

The church will base their beliefs upon the basics of Christian Faith, which are:

a.  The Bible is the inspired Word of God.

b.  The center of worship is Jesus Christ the Son of God.

c.  The atonement is through the blood of Christ to be forgiven for sin.

d.  The imminent return of Jesus Christ.

The church will have an emphasis on reaching others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The members of the church will have the love of Jesus Christ visible in their daily lives and relationships.

Pray and be open to follow God's leading for your church home.

Step 3. Choose to learn and seek to be trained in the Christian life.  "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.  Amen."  Matthew 28:20

Step 4. Get acquainted with God by talking with Him through daily prayer.  By praying daily, you will have a source of great power, strength, and blessing as you continue your walk with Jesus. "And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint (lose heart)."  Luke 18:1

Step 5. Build your Faith by reading your Bible daily.  Praying is talking to God; reading the Bible is letting God talk with you.  By reading your Bible daily, the more you will understand that Jesus is the center of the Word of God, and the more you will be like Him.  "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Christ)."  Romans 10:17

Step 6. Be a witness for Jesus Christ daily. Share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others and you will experience one of the greatest joys in your lifetime.  "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost (farthest points) part of the earth."  Acts 1:8

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."  Romans 1:16
